A German Female Was Drowned While Bathing In Induruwa Sea Coast





A German female was drowned  while bathing in

Induruwa-yalegama sea coast in kosgoda,Galle on wednesday (13)it has been revealed.

The deceased female who arrived in Sri Lanka on 31st of August had left for a sea bath on wednesday and her body was recovered yesterday(14) at Kosgoda beech.Her body was lying down at Elpitiya Hospital.


British Journalist Paul Maclean Was Killed By A Crocodile While In Sri Lanka

A british business journalist Paul Macleen was killed
due to a crocodile attack while touring arugambe, Pothuvil in Sri Lanka yesterday (14).

The 24 year old Journalist attached to Financial Times paper was grabbed by a crocodile while he got into a lagoon near  hadaoya to wash his hands in view of engage in sea surfing it has been revealed.

The Body of the deceased had recovered today (15) while drowned in mud of the hadaoya lagoon by Navy divers.

Thd deceased Journalist had arrived in Sri Lanka with a group of his friends at  work place .

A Section Of Buddhist Clergy Conducted Pindapatha To Collect Money For Imprisoned Sil Redhi Robbers?

A  section of Buddhist clergy had held  a buddhist
ritual "Pindapatha" to collect money from the public to find  the amount which the imprisoned former Presidential Secretary Lalith Weerathunge and former director of Telecommunications  Regulatory Commission(TRC) Anusha Palpita who were remanded over "Sil Redhi"case and   need to pay as compansation   to the TRC before 20th of september .

The Buddhist clergy began "Pindapatha" from Sambuddhaloka Temple in Colombo fort and walked  fort and pettah before returning to the Temple again.

The section of Buddhist clergy due to begin Pindapatha in several other cities tomorrow and the day after to collect money behalf of above mentioned former officers who are now proisoners over steeaing public money.

Several Joint opposition MP's  have seen donating money for Buddhist clergy who conducted Pindapatha and another Bhikku had donated his monthly university salary of Rs.60,000 for the cause.

Heavy Traffic Had Been Reported In All Colombo Roads Due To Anti SAITM Motor Car Parade

A heavy traffic had been reported in all roads in
Colombo joining Thummulle junction,Borella since this evening as five Anti SAITM motor car parades arrived in Colombo from five outstation cities .

The five motor car parades carried doctors belonging to Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) and membees of Inter University Stidents Federation arrived in Colombo this evening from Nittambuwa,Chilaw,Awissawella,Horana and Kalutara causing heavy traffic which inconvenienced the public.

The Motor Cars later marched towards Lipton Circus ,Colombo and held a rally there.

Health-Poor Diet Is A Factor In One In Five Deaths, Global Disease Study Reveals

Study compiling data from every country finds people are living longer but millions are eating wrong foods for their health.

Poor diet is a factor in one in five deaths around the world, according to the most comprehensive study ever carried out on the subject.

Millions of people are eating the wrong sorts of food for good health. Eating a diet that is low in whole grains, fruit, nuts and seeds and fish oils and high in salt raises the risk of an early death, according to the huge and ongoing study Global Burden of Disease.
The study, based at the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, compiles data from every country in the world and makes informed estimates where there are gaps. Five papers on life expectancy and the causes and risk factors of death and ill health have been  published by the Lancet medical journal.
