A Heavy Traffic In Some Roads In Colombo Due To A Protest Campaign

Police have advised the motorists entering Colombo to use an alternative routes this evening(30) due to a protest campaign staged by Bank Employees.

A heavy traffic has been prevailed in Colombo Fort,Sir Chittampalam A Gardiner Road and Lake House roundabout due to the protest march it has been reported.

Airport Customs Officers Have Arrested An Indian National With Tablets Use For Abortion

Airport Customs Officers have arrested an Indian National with around 16,930 tablets use for abortion brought to the country illegally last night(29) at the Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport.

The suspected Indian national was released on a fine of Rs.100,000 after been questioned on the incident and the stock of Tablets use for Abortion which worth around Rs.2.3 million have confiscated it has been reported.

A Pedestrian Was Killed After Colliding With A Motor Vehicle

A pedestrian was killed last night in Mawathagama area on Kandy -Kurunagala main road after colliding with a motor car traveling from Kurunagala to Kandy .

The critically injured pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Mawathagama Hospital.

The whereabouts of the deceased has not yet been determined.The motorist had fled away after the incident and later surrendered to the Katugasthota Police it has been reported.
