Government Has Gazetted Maximum Retail Prices Of Rice

Government has gazetted the maximum retail prices

of local and imported rice varieties in the market with effect from last friday (04).

Accordingly A maximum retail price of Rs.90 directed for a kilo gramme of local Samba rice and a price of a kilo gramme of imported Samba rice should be Rs.80.

The price of a kilo gramme of local red raw rice should be Rs.78 and a kilo gramme of imported red raw rice should be sold for Rs.65.The price of a kilo gramme of local Nadu rice should be Rs.80 and a kilo gramme of imported Nadu rice should be Rs.75.

Every producer,Importer and a Distributor should be sold these varities of Rice according to the prices directed through the gazette according to the authorities.

A Group Of Persons Had Stabbed And Injured Four Persons In Jaffna

A group of unidentified persons had stabbed and

injured four persons with sharp objects in sangathar ,Jaffna this evening (06) it has been reported.

The injured were admitted to the Kilinochchi Hospital for treatment.

Police not yet been determined whether the attack was occurred as a result of a personal dispute or it's a act of an organized crime group.

Few police groups have been deployed to investigate on the incident.

A Chinese Hospital Ship Arrived In Colombo Harbor

A Chinese Naval Hospital ship "Arc Peace"equipped

with ultra modern facilities had arrived in Colombo Harbor for a four day goodwill tour.

The 178 meter long ship with 381 crew members due to stay in Sri Lanka until 09th of August and will conduct medical camps along with medical personal attached to Sri Lanka Navy during it's stay here.

The ship was built to provide humanatarien relief to urgent disaster situations and up to now have provided medical facilities to around 120,000 persons around the globe it has been announced.Ship is equipped with modern theaters,Intensive Care Units and consultant medical services.
