Police Arrested A Doctor And Six Females Attached To A Brothel House

Police have arrested an Ayurveda doctor and six
females attached to a Brothel House maintained on the pretext of an Ayurveda Massage Center (SPA) in Periyamulla,Negambo area.

A female Police officer along with a group of police officeres in  civilian cloths attached to the organized crimes raid unit of the Colombo Division had made this arrest as per a court order issued by the Negambo Court.

The suspects have been remanded until 25th of July after being produced before the Negambo Court today (21).

The arrested females are residents of Galle, Ragama, Kurunagala,Negambo,Seeduwa and Kandy areas and the doctor is a resident of Colombo it has been revealed.

Meanwhile the female owner of the SPA has stated that a group of persons in civilian cloths and a female officer arrested the females and a doctor working for the SPA which is a registered institute.The persons arrested the workers have damaged the CCTV Cameras and also taken money,docuements and licences belonging to the institute she has stressed.

A 25 Year Old Person Was Killed On The Spot After Colliding With A Train

A 25 year old person was killed on the spot  after colliding with a train traveling from Colombo to Batticaloa yesterday(20) near the Army Camp in Tharaimadu,Batticaloa.

The deceased was a resident of Batticaloa district it has been revealed.

Medical Students To Conduct Protest Campaigns From Next Monday(24)

Image result for medical faculty students protest campaigns sri lanka Students attached to all the Medical Faculties in the island are due to launch protest campaigns from next Monday(24) against the attempt to arrest the convener of the Medical Faculty Students Action Committee Ryan Jayathilake and the assaulting of  a group of University students in Kekirawa while distributing leaflets against SAITM.

The Government Medical Officers Associaton(GMOA) has today(21) handed over a petition to the Colombo Office of United Nations High Commission  for Refugees by stating that the government is adapting a policy of repressing the students of the country .
