Private Hospitals/Laboratories Should Issue The FBC Test Reports Of Dengue Patients Within Two Hours-Health Minister

Image result for full blood count testThe Private Hospitals and Laboratories should issue the Full Blood Count (FBC) test reports of Dengue Patients  within two hours after the blood was taken in order to using it for treating Dengue Patients effectively according to the Minister Of Health Dr.Rajittha Senaratne.

A large number of complaints have  been received by the Health Ministry from Doctors by stating that the Private Hospitals and Laboratories are not issuing the Full Blood Count test reports within 2 hours to treat Dengue patients effectively.The FBC test  Reports issued after more than two hours are not valid and  cannot be used when treating Dengue Patients he has stressed.

Therefore Health Minister has urged the private sector to issue FBC Test reports of Dengue Patients within two hours time without a delay .

If the Private sector continues the  delaying of   issuing  FBC Test reports to Dengue patients all the Dengue patients should have come to the Government Hospitals for treatment and thsese Hospitals issue the FBC Test reports within one hour period and the Colombo National Hospital issue the test reports within ten minutes .

Sugar Container Contained Haul Of Cocaine Was Located In The Colombo Harbour Around Nine Months

The sugar container imported from Brazil which
contained a haul of Cocaine was located in Colombo Harbour around  nine months according to the Sugar Importers Association.

A large number of Sugar containers imported from Brazil around 80 are still there in Colombo harbour uncleared the Association has stated.

According to the Sugar Importers Association since last October sugar importation has  stopped and the Sugar  container which included a haul of Cocaine was imported long before that .

Meanwhile police have only arrested seven suspects involved in  transporting the container from Colombo Harbour to Ratmalana Economic Center and stil not able to arrest anyone related to the smuggling the haul of Cocaine into the country through the container .

A Tense Situation Occurred In Front Of OPA Building After A Civil Uniform Officers Attempting To Arrest A Medical Student Leader

A tense situation had  occurred in front of the OPA
Center building in Colombo this evening (20) when a group of civil officers attempted to arrest the convener of the Medical Faculty Students Action committee Ryan Jayathilake.

The officers had attempted to arrest the convener after he came out of the OPA Center building following a discussion held on SAITM issue  by the Anti SAITM Force with the  participation of  Government Medical Officers Assosiation (GMOA) and other political and student groups .

As the officers in civil uniforms attempted to arrest Ryan Jayathilake outside the OPA Building  ,a group of medical and other students and politicians requested them to show the court order for arrest.However afterwards the group of officers got into a white van and left the place.
