A 30 Year Old Female Was Killed Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

A 30 year old female was killed due to a wild elephant attack in Kuda Walpola,Madawachchiya area (North Central Province) early this morning(22).

The critically injured female ,a mother of a child had succumbed to her injuries after admission to the Madawachchiya Hospital it has been reported.

Accordingly former Finance Minister sworn in as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera took oaths as the Minister of Finance.

The former Minister skills development and vocational training Mahinda Samarasinghe sworn in as the Minister Of Ports and Shipping,Former Minister of Ports Arjuna Ranathunge as the new Minister Of Petroleum Resources Development ,Former Minister Of Petroleum Chandima Weerakkody as the new Minister Of Skills Development  and Vocational Training.

Thilak Marapona has been appointed as Minister of Development Affairs  ,Minister of Mass Media Gayantha Karunathialke sworn in as the new Minister of Land and Parliamentary Affairs.

The minister of Social Empowerment S.B Dissanayake has been appointed as the new minister of Upcountry Development Affairs and the Minister of Labor and Trade Union Relations John Seneviratne had given Sabaragamuwa Development as a new portfolio in addition to his current portfolio .

The General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mahinda Amraweera who is the Minister of Fisheries received a new State Ministerial Portfolio on Mahaweli Development.

President Sirisena functions as the Cabinet Minister Of Mahaweli Development.  

Male To Female Ratio In Sri Lanka Declining Further

Image result for male to female ratio in sri lankaThe Male to female ratio in Sri Lanka at present is 93.1 males per 100 females according to the Sri Lanka family planning association. 

The ratio is due to decline further it is estimated that by the year 2022 the ratio will be 92.2 males per 100 females.

The female population in Sri Lanka is on the increase and the male population is decreasing since 1981 due to numerous factors it has been revealed.

In the year 1981 male to female ratio in the country stands as 104 males per 100 females and since then the female population exceeds the male population an experts have stated during a Media Workshop held today(22) at the Sri Lanka family planning association office  in Colombo.
