Meethotamulle Garbage Dump Collapse-Six Injured Persons Received Treatment From Colombo National Hospital

Upto now around six persons who got

injured due to the Meethotamulle Garbage Dump collapse had been received treatment from the Colombo National Hospital it has been reported.

Around Sixty Houses Reported As Buried After A Section Of Meethotamulle Garbage Dump Collapsed

Around sixty houses were buried after a

section of the Meethotamulle  (Colombo)Garbage Dump had collapsed on them today (14) it has been reported.

The residents  lives near the Garbage Dump protested against dumping garbage  in Colombo there over the past few years .

Meanwhile president Maithripala Sirisena had instructed the Disaster Management Center and tri forces to take every possible measure to help those affected due to the Garbage Dump collapse in Meethotamulle.

Two Persons Were Shot And Killed In Kaduwela

Two persons had been shot and killed by  two

unidentified gunmen arrived in Motor Bicycle this morning (13)  in Kothalawala junction on Kaduwela-Malabe road.

The two  deceased had been identified as  residents  of Kaduwela area.One was involved in transporting harcotics it has been revealed.

Police believed a dispute between two underworld gangs caused the shooting.

Police have taken statements from several people regarding the shooting.

A Cyclist Was Killed Due To A Bicycle-Lorry Collision

A 46 year old cyclist was killed after the Bicycle he was

riding in colliding with a Lorry in pohoranwewa area on Kurunagala-Dambulla main road last night (12).

The deceased has been identified as a resident of Pohoranwewa ,Dambulla area.
