Ministry Of Health Anounced Another National Dengue Control Week

Ministry Of Health had decided to conduct an island wide  National Dengue Control Week from 29th of March to 04th of April this year .

There is a rise of Dengue Patients reported from Colombo,Gampaha,Kaluthara,Galle,Jaffna,Trincomalee and Ratnapura Districts according to the Ministry.During first two months of this year (January to February) around 16,479 Dengue Patients had been reported from the Island and there were 24 Dengue Deaths Health Ministry has stated.

A special discussion is due to be held among the Ministries of Health,Fisheries and Provincial Council during next week to examine the facts that caused for the spreading of Dengue.

Two Firearms Recovered In The Mount Lavinia Court

Police have recovered   two firearms hidden inside the Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court this morning(01). Accordingly a 3.8 mili meter firearm and a pistol had been recovered in the court.

The two firearms had been recovered before an  underworld gang member produced before the Court it has been revealed.

A German National Drowned In Koggala Sea Area

 A 58 year old German National has drowned while bathing in the sea area of Koggala,Habaraduwa (Southern Province)it has been reported.

The victim was saved but  died after admission to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital .
