Two Youths Were Killed Due To A Motor Cycle-Bus Collision

Two youths were killed due to a Motor Cycle-Bus collision occurred in
Passara-Kanavaralla area (Badulla)yesterday(31).

The Deceased had been identified as 22 and 21  year old youth and one of them was attached to Sri Lanka Army.

Three persons were riding on  the Motor Cycle at the time of the accident it has been revealed.

Health Minister To Import A Medicine Manufactured Through Papaya Extract From India For Dengue Patients

Minister Of Health,Nutrition and
Indeginous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has stated that he will take steps to import an Indian drug made with an extract of papaya(Papol) to Sri Lanka for the use of Dengue Patients.

This drug will be distributed throughout the island through Sri Lanka  Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation .

Above mentioned drug increases the red blood cells in human body and found  very effective for the Dengue Patients whose red blood cells decreaescd due to the disease Minister has stressed .

Health Minister has revealed these facts during the launching of twelve new Ayurveda Products of "Pranajeeva", Brand to the local market held at BMICH in Colombo on last Monday(30)evening .

Astrologer Vijitha Rohana Arrested Over Making False Astrological Prediction Against The President

Criminal investigations Department
(CID) has arrested  the Astrologer Vijitha Rohana Wijemuni today(31) over making false Astrological prediction on President Maithripala Sirisena .

The former Navy Officer who became famous after attacking former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi when he was in Sri Lanka in 1987 ,Vijitha he had predicted that the President Maithripala Sirisena"s life is in danger before 26th of January the day  that  the transit of saturn had aken a place.

Two Persons Got Injured Due To An Attack Carried Out At A Shop In Jaffna

Two persons got injured and Ihospitalized after an attack carried out by a group of persons armed with swords at a shop in Arasadi area at Nallur,Jaffna (Northern Province)today (31).

The injured were admitted  to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital  for treatment.

The attackers who arrived in motor cycles had attacked the shop. and fled away from scene after throwing petrol bombs at the shop it has been reported.

The incident was recorded in the CCTV  camera of the shop .

Jaffna Police conducting an investigation on the incident suspecting the attack might have been carried out by the armed gang "Ava' group.

Attorneys Filed A Revised Bail Application On Behalf Of MP Wimal Weerawansha

Attorneys have filed a revised bail application on behalf of the imprisoned
 Joint Opposition MP and Leader of the National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansha with Colombo High Court today(31).

The revised bail application of MP Weerawansha is due to be considered on 06th of February .

MP Weerawansha has been remanded until 07th of February over an allegations of misusing state owned vehicles during the previous regime.
