Health Ministry Has Banned Private Companies Promoting "Stents"Products In National Hospital Premises

Ministry Of Health has yesterday (11)instructed the
Director of Colombo National Hospital Dr.Anil Jasinghe to ban representatives of Private Surgical Manufacturing Companies which promotes 'Stents" entering the Cardiology Unit of the Hospital.

After an information received by the Ministry Officials that some Private Company representatives were present at Cardiology Unit premises in National Hospital yesterday evening to promote their "Stents"products Ministry has issued these instructions.

As the Ministry is providing "Stents' free of charge for cardiac patients in government hospitals free of charge at present, there's no need to allow private Surgical Manufacturing Cimpanies  to promote "Stents" in Cardiology Unit premises in National Hospital the Ministry has stated.

Twenty Eight Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis Recovered In Northern Province

Sri Lanka Navy Personal have recovered 28 Kilo
Grammes of Kerala Cannabis from the sea and sea coast in Kusumanthurai area(Northern Province) last night (11).

Out of the recovered stock of Kerala Cannabis 23 Kilo Grammes were recovered while the stock  floating in the sea and 5 Kilo Grammes were recovered left in the sea coast.

The stock of recovered Kerala Cannabis was handed over to the Kankasanthurai Police for further investigations.


Health Minister Issued Instructions Banning Of Charging Money From Government Hospital Patients

Minister Of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has yesterday
(11) instructed the director of Medical Supplies Division Dr.Lal Panapitiya to issue a circular to All Government Hospitals banning charging of money to from patients to purchasse any medical item.

Minister has issued the instructions after the Health Ministry has receiving complaints regarding charging of money from patients in some hospitals the Ministry has stated.

Government To Grant Five Year Visa Concession For Foreign Investors Investing More Than US Dollars 300,000

Government is ready to grant five year visa concession
to stay in Sri Lanka for Foreign Investors who are willing to invest more than US Dollars 300,000 in the country according to Minister Of Finance Ravi Karunanayake.

This is one of the proposals embodied in 2017 Annual Budget Proposals the Minister has stated during a press briefing held today (12).
