A Motor Cycle Rider Was Killed And Pillion Rider Injured Due To A Motor Cycle-Van Collision

accident க்கான பட முடிவுA Motor Cycle Rider was killed and a pillion rider was injured and hospitalized due to a Motor Cycle-Van collision occurred at Pallemalala area on Thissamaharama-Hambanthota road(Southern Province) today (06).

The injured was admitted to Hambanthota Hospital for treatment.The Motor Cycle collided with the Van when it turned to a sub road from the Main Road it has been revealed.

The deceased has been identified as a resident of Thissamaharamaya

A heavy traffic has been reported in Colombo Fort due to the protest march and Police have advised the motorists to use an alternative routes.

Gampaha Magistrate Has Ordered To Remand A Nigerian National Who Cheated Rs.865,000 From Sri Lankan Female

remand க்கான பட முடிவுGampaha Chief Magistrate has today(06) ordered to remand a  Nigerian National until 20th of January over cheating a Sri Lankan married female residing in Gampaha(Western Province) a sum of Rs.865,000 after built a friendship with her through social media site Facebook.

The Nigerian suspect is residing in Colombo it has been reported.

Mother And Cousin Brother Of Drug Kingpin Wele Suda Arrested In Colombo

arrested க்கான பட முடிவுThe mother and the cousin brother of imprisoned drug kingpin Samantha Kumara allias "Wele Suda have been arrested by the Department of Excise today(06) at Wellawatte(Colombo) with 20 Grammes of Heroin in their possession.

The two suspects who were arrested in possession of  10 Grammes of Heroin each are due to be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court today(06). 

Wele Suda had been sentenced to death by Colombo High Court in October 2015 in possession of Heroin.

Katunayake Airport Will Be Closed For Operations Eight Hours Daily With Effect From Today(06)

katunayake airport க்கான பட முடிவுKatunayake Bandaranaike International Airport will be closed for Airport Operations for 08 hours daily from 8.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m with effect from today(06) up to 05th of April 2017 to overlay the  runaway to improve the surface conditions.

The estimated cost of the overlay of runaway in Katunayake Airport is around Rs.7.2 billion . This will be the first time that an overlay of a runaway project is carrying out at Airport since the commissioning of the runaway in 1986.

Authorities are  kindly requested from all passengers to be at Katunayake Airport five hours prior to the departure time of their flights , as the Airline check in counter will be closed one hour prior to the scheduled departure time .
