Sri Lanka Navy Have Arrested Four Persons With 10 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis

Sri Lanka Navy have arrested four persons with 10
Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in their possession during two raids carried out yesterday (31).

Accordingly two persons with 09 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in their possession had been arrested while they were transporting the stock of Cannabis by the Navy officers attached to Welisara ,Naval Base and Paliyagoda Special Police Task Force Officers.

The two suspects and the stock of Kerala Cannabis had handed over to the Kandana Police for further investigations.

During another raid carried out by Naval Officers attached to Puttalam Naval Base and police officers at eluwankulama area another two persons were arrested with 01 Kilo Gramme of Kerala Cannabis in their possession .The susprcts along with the stock of Cannabis had handed over to the Puttalam Police for further investigations.

President Has Refused To Accept A Resignation Letter Of A State Minister

State Minister Of Local government and Provincial
Councils Priyankara Jayaratne has  been resigned   from his Post  last Friday(30) and handed over the  resignation to President Maithripala Sirisena it has🌏been reported.

The State Minister who is a member of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP)chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena has also handed over his official vehicle the sources stated.

The reason behind his decision has  not yet revealed and President has refused to accept the resignation letter of the State  Minister sources have further added.

Expressway Toll Fee Has Been Reduced By Rs.50 From Today (01)

Thr expressway toll fee has been reduced by Rs.50
from 9 p.m to 5 a.m with effect from today (01)according to the Road Development Authority(RDA).

The reduction of the expressway toll fee was proposed through the 2017 budget proposals.
