A stock of buried military Devices including 41 Land
Mines have been recovered ftom Vavuniya-Neeliyamottai area during a joint raid carried out by the Air Force and Police special Task force personal.
A hand bomb and a 60 mili meter Motar Bomb are among the recovered military devices according to sources.
The Special Police Task Force Personal had defused the Military Devices.

A Youth Was Arrested With 65 Mili Grammes Of Heroin In His Possession
Police have arrested a youth with 65 Mili Grammes of
Heroin in his possession at Maskeliya area (Upcountry) today (25).
The 30 year old suspected youth who is a resident of Saliyapura,Anuradhapura (North Central Province) arrested as per an information received by the Police.
He is due to be produced before Hatton Magistrate.

Two Persons Were Killed Due To A Lorry-Three Wheeler Collision
Two persons were killed and another two were
injured and hospitalized this evening due to a Lorry-Three Wheeler collision occurred at Dunakadeniya area on Naththandiya-Kuliyapitiya Road(North Western Province).
The two deceased were identified as 32 and 34 years old from Welipanna area.They were in the Three Wheeler at the time of the accident it has been reported.

More Than Half Of The Land Area In Badulla District Identified As Endagered With Landslides-NBRO
In Badulla District 66.91% of the total land area
vulnerable to Landslides according to a latest survry carried out by the National Building Research Organization (NBRO).
During a meeting held at Disaster Management Center recently, Badulla Government Agent Nimal Abeysiri has stated that 79.32 Square Kilo Meters that is 2.77% of the total land area in Badulla District has been identified as high risk area for Landslides.
According to the survey 16.37% of the land area in Badulla has been identified as medium risk area and 47.76% identified as minimum risk area he has stressed.Only 942.92 Square Kilo Meter area which is 32.95% of the total land area in Badulla is safe the Badull GA has revealed.
