A Businessman Was Arrested With Two Rs.5000 Fake Currency Notes

Police have arrested a Businessman with Two ,Rs.5000
fake currency notes in his possession at Kahatagasdigiliya area (North Central Province)today (18).Another Person who was with the businessman at the time of the arrest had fled away according to the reports .

The arrested suspect has been remanded until 20th of December by the Anuradhapura Acting Magistrate after been produced before the court later today.


Accordingly the suspect who is a resident of Pulmudai
Area has been remanded and the acting magistrate has ordered the police to arrest and produced the escaped suspect.

Sri Lanka Navy Officers Have Arrested Five Indian Fishermen In Sri Lankan Waters

Sri Lanka Navy officers have arrested five indian
fishermen while engaging in illegal fishing in Sri Lankan waters off the coast of Pallemunai,Mannar (Northern Province) by using explosives.

During the raid Navy Officers have also taken into custody  a Dinghy Boat,Five diving masks,a banned fishing net ,a stock of fish and five pairs of diving fins it has been reported.

The arrested fishermen along with the equipment and stock of fish had been handed over to the assistant director of fisheries in mannar for future course of action.





Three Complaint Centers To Be Set Up To Make Complaints On Dengue -Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous
Medicine has decided to set up  three Centers in western province to enable public to make complaints  on Dengue related incidents.

These centers will be open 24 hours a day and anyone can make complaints regarding Dengue to the Centers Ministry has stated.Police officers are also due to be recruited to these Complaint Centers for duty it has been announced.

Three Persons Including A young Female And Naval Officer Killed Due To A Motor Cycle Accident

Three persons including a young female  and a  Naval
Officer  were killed  last night(17) due to a head on collision of  two Motor Cycles  occurred near the 10th Kilo Meter Post on Athurugiriya Diyabeduma main road it has been reported.

The three crtically injured were admitted to the thalangama hospital soon after the accident and both the Motor Cycle riders and a young female who was the pillion rider of one of the Motor Cycles had succumbed to their injuries after admission to the hospital.
