Cabinet Approved A Proposal To Increase The Fine Impose On Bus Services Without A Valid Permit To Rs.200,000

Cabinet has approved a proposal to increase the
minimum  fine imposed on persons operating bus services without a valid passenger service permit from Rs.10,000 to Rs.200,000 according to the co-cabinet spokesman and Minister of Media  Gayantha Karunathilake.

The aim of increasing the fine is to secure passengers from risky situations and to develop the quality of Bus service Minister has stressed.

Retired DIG Sarathchandre Was Arrested And Remanded Over Misusing A Jeep Belonging To Police Department

clombo magistrate  ecourt සඳහා පින්තුර ප්‍රතිඵලRetired Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG)K.L.N Sarathchandre who was also  a coordinating secretary of the Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe has been arrested today(23) by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division(FCID) for misusing of a Jeep belonging to the Special Police Task Force.

The Retired former DIG has been remanded until 06th of December by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya this evening after been produced before the court.

The Special Police Task Force officers attached to the Negambo Camp had today(23) arrested a person with around 600 illegal Cigarettes in his possession at Periyamulla area In Negambo(In Colombo).

The suspect had been handed over to the Negambo Police for further investigations  the Special Police Task Force has stated.
