Five Policemen Arrested Over the Deaths Of Two Jaffna University Students Had Been Further Remanded
The five police officers arrested regarding the deaths
of two Jaffna University Students have been further remanded until 02nd of December by the Jaffna Magistrate Court yesterday (18).
The five police officers who were on duty at the checkpoint when the shooting was occurred had been arrested and suspended from their work on same day.
They were remanded until yesterday (18) by the Jaffna Magistrate Court.

The suspected Police Officers were arrested on 21st of october a day after the two students were shot dead at Kokuvil checkpoint in Kulappidy junction ,Jaffna.

Several houses have been damaged and transport
services disrupted as a result of a Bo Tree located at Kailagoda Sri Saddarmananda Pirivena at Badulla which was more than one hundrad years old uprooted today (18) .
With the Bo Tree three lamp posts with 33,000 Voltage had collapsed on to the houses causing extensive damage it has been reported.
However the Buddhist Statues located around the Bo Tree had not been damaged according to reports.

Police Have Arrested Two Persons With A Stock Of Rs.5 Million Worth Wallapatta At Bambalapitiya
Police have today (18) arrested two persons -a Sri
Lankan and a Chinese National while transporting Rs.5 million worth stock of "Wallapatta" (Gyrinops) use for manufacturing expensive perfumes at Bambalapitiya (In Colombo) .
Accordingly Police have taken into custody 17 Kilo Grammes of Wallapatta and 13 small bottles containing Wallapatta sticks in the possession of the suspects .
