A Fire Broke Out On Friday Had Destroyed 300 Acres Of Land In Knuckles Mountain
A fire broke out on friday (09) has destroyed around 300 acres of land belonging to the Knuckles Mountain area according to the Disaster Management Center.
The fire fighters along with Wild Life Officers and Air Force Officials have doused the fire the Center has stated.The fire has spreaded towards Eastern Part of hasalaka yahangala area it has been reported.

A Sixteen Year Old School Boy Was Drowned In Kande Ela Falls In Nuwara Eliya
A sixteen year old school boy was drowned in Kande Ela falls in Nuwara Eliya (Central Province) yesterday (10) while bathing there alone according to the Police.
The school boy who went to a picnic with eight of his friends to Kande Ela Falls had lied to the parents that he was attending a tuition class the Police have stated.
Police have launched a search investigation on the incident after the parents of the School Boy had lodged a complaint on him it has been reported.

A Body Of A 28 Year Old Medical Student Recovered From A Students Hostal
A body of a 28 year old Medical Student attached to Colombo Medical Faculty had been recovered this evening from a Students Hostel at Noris Canal Road in Colombo according to the Police.
The body was recovered as per the information received by the Police and the it was sent to the Colombo National Hospital for the post mortem.
Police have launched an investigation regarding the incident.

Navy Have Arrested Three Local Fishermen Along With Banned Equipment While Fishing In Local Seas
Sri Lanka Navy Personal had today (11) arrested three local fishermen while engaging in illegal fishing in the seas off Nilaweli by using banned equipment it has been reported.
Navy Personal have also taken in to custody two pairs of diving fins,three diving masks,a dinghy and a GPS Unit according to the Navy.
The detained fishermen along with the equipment were handed over to the Kuchchiweli Police for further investigations.
