Two Treasure Hunters Had Detained At Mathugama

Mathugama Police have detained two persons who had illegally excavated an area in Bopitiya,Mathugama (Western Province) in search of  treasures.

Police have also taken into custody around 250 grammes of gun powder and equipment used to excavation in possession of the suspects.

The suspects are residents in Mathugama and Dodangoda areas.

Police Have Detained A Person With Heroin In His Possession

Police have yesterday (19)detained a person with two grammes and sixty mili grammes of heroin in his possession at Keselwatta(In Colombo) Area.

The suspect who is a 27 year old resident in Maradana Area had produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate Court today(20).

Kurunagala Police Have Detained A Person With A 12 Bore Fire Arm In His Possession

Kurunagala Police have today (20)detained a person who had kept a 12 bore firearm illegally in his possession without a valid license.

The suspect is a 38 year old resident in Kurunagala district and he is  due to produce before Kurunagala Magistrate Court.

Kurunagala Police are conducting an investigations on the incident.
