Kurunagala Police Have Detained A Person With A 12 Bore Fire Arm In His Possession
Kurunagala Police have today (20)detained a person who had kept a 12 bore firearm illegally in his possession without a valid license.
The suspect is a 38 year old resident in Kurunagala district and he is due to produce before Kurunagala Magistrate Court.
Kurunagala Police are conducting an investigations on the incident.

Colombo-Mahiyangana Road Has Been Temporarily Closed Down Due To A Fire
The Colombo-Mahiyanganaya Road has been temporarily closed down this evening due to a sudden fire erupted at a private petrol shed at Theldeniya area on Kandy -Mahiyangana Road.
The fire had erupted at a oil bowser parked at the petrol shed to refill oil and it has spread ed to the petrol shed afterwards it has been reported.
The fire fighters are currently engaging in dousing the fire according to reports.

Sri Lankan Air Lines Flight From Frankfurt To Colombo Had Been Delayed For 15 Hours
The Sri Lankan Air Lines flight UL-554 flying from Frankfurt-Germany to Colombo had been delayed to take off for around 15 hours yesterday (19)due to the absence of one of it's crew member according to Sri Lankan Air Lines.
The absent crew member had not reported to the duty due to an illness it has been revealed.
Due to the delay of the flight all passengers have been provided with meals and accommodation and they will also be compensated as per the European Union's regulations the Air Lines has stated.
The Sri Lankan Air Lines authorities have apologized from the passengers for the flight's delay

Navy Have Detained Five Persons With Over 100 Kilos Of Kerala Cannabis In Two Seperate Raids
Sri Lanka Navy have today (20)detained three persons with around 101 Kilo Grammes of natcotic ,Kerala Cannabis in their possession at Manalkadu Area (In Northern Province) and detained two other persons with 33 Kilo Grammes of same narcotic in possession at lyakachchi area (Northern Province) in two separate raids .
The Navy Personal of special boat squadron located in Kankasanthurai Area had detained the three suspects at Manalkadu Area and handed over them to Jaffna excise department for future course of action.
Meanwhile the two persons detained in lyakachchi area also handed over to the Jaffna excise department.
