Veterinerian Officers Have decided To Launch An Island Wide Strike Next Week

The Veterinerian Officers have decided to launch an island wide strike on 09th and 10th of August by demanding to solve their long standing demands.

As the authorities have failed to grant solutions for the demands of  Veterinerian Officers over the past few years those officers have no other option than going for a strike the Sri Lanka Veterinerian Officers Association has stated.

Off Spinner Rangana Herath Becomes The Second Sri Lankan Bowler Claim A Hat trick In A Test Match

The left hand off spinner Herath has bagged the wickets of Adam Voges, Peter Neville and Mitchelle Starc as the Australian Cricketers were all out  for 106 runs in their first innings today 175 runs behind the Sri Lanka's first innings total of 281.

Earlier Sri Lanka's fast bowler Nuwan Soyza achieved this feet of taking a ha trick at a Test Match and became the first Test Cricket Bowler to bag three wickets continuously.

Seven In The Same Family Have Been Sentenced To Death Over A Murder

Image result for courtSeven Members in the same family have been sentenced to death by the Nuwara Eliya High Court judge Laith Ekanayake today(05) over a killing of a person at Venture Estate in Nuwara Eliya on July 2000.

The suspects were charged for  assault and murder of the person in estate.

Sri Lankan Transgender Community Members Who Are Converted Males To Females Seeking Female Status To Appear In Their ID's

The Sri Lankan Transgender Community (Males converted to Females) has made a request from the Department Of Registration Of Persons to issue them new identity cards by stating that  they are females a social activist belonging to the Transgender Community has stated yesterday (04).

Although they made  this request the authorities are still have not responded to it she has stated.

The activist Bhoomi Narendran has stated that most of the Transgender Community members in Sri Lanka lives in hiding as they were cornered by their fanily members and the society and they have lost the education and employment rights too.
