Health Minister Directed Officials To Cancel The Limit Of Rs.1.5 Million Allocated For A Cancer Patient To Purchase Drugs
The Minister Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has today(23) instructed the Health Ministry Secretary and Director General Of Health Services to cancel the current limit of Rs.1.5 million allocated for Cancer Patients to purchase drugs and issue money on limitless basis.
Up to now The Medical Supplies Division of Ministry Of Health has issued Rs.1.5 million per Cancer Patient to purchase drugs which proves not enough due to the rising prices of cancer drugs.

A Group Of Individuals Shot And Killed A Person In Front Of Mahara Magistrate Court
A group of individuals who arrived from a hybrid car had shot and killed a person in front of the Mahara Magistrate Court this morning and fled away from the scene.
The group that shot and killed the suspect has targeted a group of suspects brought to the Magistrate Court according to the Police.
The deceased person has been identified as a resident in Rathmalana who arrived the court to appear a case regarding a heroin case.His body was sent to Ragama Teaching Hospital and Mahara Police are conducting investigations on the incident.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Has Rejected Bail Applications Of Two Suspects Remanded Over The Killing Of Former Sri Lankan R
The Colombo Additional Magistrate has today(23) rejected the bail applications submitted of former Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DIG) Anura Senanayake and former Crimes OIC Of Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera who were detained and remanded over the killing of former Sri Lankan rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.
After rejecting the bail applications the additional magistrate has remanded the two suspects until 07th of July.
Former DIG Anura Senanayake was detained by Criminal Investigations Department(CID) on 23rd of May over the killing of former rugby player thajudeen and former crimes OIC Sunith Perera was detained by CID for hiding the evidences of the former rugby players killing.
After rejecting the bail applications the additional magistrate has remanded the two suspects until 07th of July.
