A Major Fire Has Been Broke Out At Ammunition Dump In Sri Lanka Army Camp At Kosgama-People Evacuated From The Area

A Major Fire has broke out at the Ammunition Dump attached to Sri Lanka Army Camp in Salawa-Kosgama (In Western Province ) following an explosion occurred there short while ago according to sources.

The authorities have  taken steps to evacuate people from the area and  the Colombo-Awissawella Main Road in front of the camp has been closed due to this situation it has been reported.

Debate On The No Confidence Motion Against Finance Minister To Be Held On 08th Of June

The debate on the no confidence motion handed over by joint opposition group against the Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake is due to be held on 08th of June according to government sources.

The no confidence motion signed by 37 MP's belonging to Joint Opposition group in the parliament against finance minister karunanayake has been handed over to Parliamentary Speaker on 24th of March.

Meanwhile a special meeting is due to be held at Presidential Secretariat tomorrow(06) under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena regarding the no confidence motion against finance minister as the motion was signed by mainly the MP'S belonging to Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

A Pedestrian Was Killed Due To A Vehicle Ran Over Him At Mahamorawewa

A Pedestrian was killed as a vehicle ran over him while crossing the road at Mahamorawewa on Habarana-Trincomalee Road in the wee hours of this morning.

The police have detained the driver of the vehicle regarding the accident.The body of the deceased has been sent to Merigahatenna Hospital for autopsy according to the Police.

Sri Lanka Navy Have Detained Four Indian Fishermen Along With Their Boat In Sri Lankan Waters

Sri Lanka Navy have today(05)detained four Indian Fishermen along with the Boat they were in while in Sri Lankan Waters at Neduntheevu in Northern Province.

The four detained fishermen were handed over to the Sri Lanka Fisheries Department at Kankasanthurai for future course of action.
