These female workers have faced the wasp attack while they were plucking tea at the estate the sources have revealed.Their condition is not serious it has been reported.

Education Minister Has Instructed The Authorities To Investigate On An Incident Damaging A Part Of A Sigiriya Fresco

The Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has instructed the officials of Central Cultural Fund Archaeology Department to investigate on an incident that damaging a part of a Sigiriya Fresco at Frescoes  Cave (Bithusithuwam Guhava) in Sigiriya during conservation activities.

The damage has  occurred to a fresco when the officials paste a cello tape on a wall contains frescoes in view of conserving them and remove it according to reports.

The Central Cultural Fund and Archaeology Department have launched two separate internal investigations on the incident.

Health Ministry Has Instructed the Chairman Of Drug Regulatory Authority To Appoint A National Counselling Committee

The Ministry Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine has instructed the Chairman of Independent Drug Regulatory Authority Professor Lal Jayakody to appoint the National Counseling Committee of the Authority in view of carrying out the work in proper manner.

Due to the non appointment of  National Counselling Committee since the establishing of  Drug Regulatory Authority nearly a year ago the functions of the authority have paralyzed according to sources.
