Health Ministry Has Instructed the Chairman Of Drug Regulatory Authority To Appoint A National Counselling Committee
The Ministry Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine has instructed the Chairman of Independent Drug Regulatory Authority Professor Lal Jayakody to appoint the National Counseling Committee of the Authority in view of carrying out the work in proper manner.
Due to the non appointment of National Counselling Committee since the establishing of Drug Regulatory Authority nearly a year ago the functions of the authority have paralyzed according to sources.

Police Have Detained The Key Suspect Of Rs.13.7 Billion Worth Ready Made Garment Robbery
The Police have detained the key suspect of the Rs.13.7 Billion worth stock of ready made garment robbery occurred in a Garment Factory at Hidogama in Anuradhapura District(In North Central Province).
The suspect was detained at Andiambalama Area it has been reported.
Police have found 15,774 Ladies Cloths in possession of the suspect who stolen these cloths from a Garment Factory on 02nd of April.
Hidogama Police are conducting further investigations to arrest another four suspects who involved in this robbery of ready made cloths it has been reported.

Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne Has Instructed The Epidemiology Unit To Check Suitability Of Dengue Vaccine For Sri Lanka
The Minister Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has instructed the Epidemiology Unit to check the suitability of Dengue Vaccine which was manufactured by a French Company and accepted by World Health Organization in view of using in Sri Lanka.
If it is found the Dengue Vaccine is suitable to use in Sri Lanka ,Authorities should import the vaccine for Sri Lanka's Dengue Control Programme) the Health Minister has stated.
Minister Dr.Senaratne has also instructed the newly appointed acting Chief Executive Officer of Independent Drug Regulatory Authority Dr.Kamal Jayasinghe to register the Dengue Vaccine manufactured in France if it found suitable for Sri Lanka.
The French Ambassador to Sri Lanka has met with Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne recently and informed him on the newly manufactured Dengue Vaccine.
Mexico and Philiphines have already decided to use the newly manufactired Dengue Vaccine in their countries.
