Puttalam Additional District Judge Has Ordered To Remand 10 Suspects Of A Treasure Hunting Case Until 22nd Of April

The Puttalam (In North Western Province) Additional District Judge has today(19) ordered to remand 10 suspects including the former Deputy Chairman of Wanathawilluwa Pradeshiya Sabha until 22nd of April over the charge of   excavating  a Private Land at Wanathawiiluwa to take a treasure .

The suspects had excavated several places  on a Private Land at Morapatha,Wanathawilluwa on 29th of February in view of taking a treasure it has been reported.

The Police had arrested few people involved in the treasure hunt at the land on 29th of February and the former deputy chairman of the Wanathawilluwa Pradeshiya Sabha and few others involved in the incident were later surrendered to the Police.

If The Rain Continues For Another 24 Hours Landslides And Cut Slope Failures Possible In Two Districts-National Building Research Organization

If the rain currently prevails in continues for another 24 hours there's a possibility of occurring Landslides and cut slope failures in several areas of Rathnapura and Badulla Districts according to the National Building Research Organization(NBRO). 

Accordingly it there's a continuous rain within next 24 hours landslides and cut slope failures will occur in Eheliyagoda,Embilipitiya,Balangoda and Imbulpe areas of Rathnapura District and Haldummulla and surrounding areas in Badulla District NBRO has stated.

Train Services At Kelani Valley Route Had Restricted Due To A Derailment Of A Train

Sri Lanka Railways Department has today (19) restricted the Train Services at Kelani Valley Route to Kosgama area due to the derailment of a Train between Kosgama and Puwakpitiya.

A Special Vehicle has been sent to the area to restore the derailed Train according to the Railways Department.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Has Ordered The Police To Transfer Seven Indian Nationals Detained At Mirihana Detention Center To Colombo Remand Prison

The Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris has today(19) ordered the Police to transfer the imprisoned seven Indian Nationals detained over their involvement in illegal kidney transplant racket operated between Sri Lanka and India to Colombo Remand Prison from Special Detention Center in Mirihana(In Colombo).

The Additional Magistrate has made this order according to the request made by Colombo Crimes Division.Colombo Crimes Division has made this request due to the security at the center proved as sufficient it has been reported.

Eight Indian Nationals who were arrested at Wellawatta few weeks ago regarding the illegal kidney racket were detained at Special Detention Center in Mirihana and one of them was escaped from the center yesterday(18).
