Minister Of Health To Submit A Proposal To Cabinet On Serving Nutritious Meal At Functions held At Government Ministries/Institutions
The proposal will be submitted to the Cabinet soon according to Health Minister.The aim of submitting this kind of proposal to the Cabinet is to reduce the number of persons infected with non communicable diseases in sri lanka according to the Ministry Of Health.
It has been reported that 68% out of the total number of patients admitted to government hospitals annually are suffering from non communicable diseases like diabetes and heart diseases.ealth
Health Ministry has already issued a circular to the institutes attached to Ministry Of Health regarding serving Nutritious Meal during the functions organize in the institutions.
Police Have Detained Two Persons With A Hand Bomb In Their Possession
The suspects were travelling in a Motor Bicycle when the Metiyagoda Police Station officers have stopped the vehicle and made the arrest.The hand bomb found in possession of two suspects has identified as manufactured in a foreign country.
The two detained suspects are wanted persons for the Police due to their involvement in several other crimes it has been reported.
A Catholic Priest Was Killed And His Driver Got Injured Due To Their Van Veered Off The Road
The accident has occurred when the van was travelling from Jaffna to Mannar and the 58 year Priest was succumbed to his injuries after getting admitted to Mannar Hospital according to the Police.The driver of the van is currently receiving treatment at Mannar Hospital.
