A Female Was Killed And Her Husband Critically Injured Due To A Lorry Accident

Image result for accident graphicA female was killed and her husband has  critically injured and hospitalized due to the lorry they were travelling in veered off the road and crashed into a tree at Kaththapahuwa Area on Anuradhapura-Mahawa Road today(16).

The 39 year old deceased female was succumbed to her injuries after getting admitted to Kurunagala Teaching Hospital and her husband the lorry driver is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital it has been reported.

The accident has occurred due to the driver fallen sleep at the wheel the Police have stated.

A Person With 1813 Bottles Of Illicit Liquor In His Possession Has Been Arrested In Panadura

Image result for arrestedThe Police have today(16) arrested a person near Pamunugama Bridge in Panadura South(In Colombo) with 1813 Bottles of locally made illicit liquor "Goda" and a stock of equipment use to manufacture  illicit liquor  in his possession .

The 46 year old suspect from the Pamunugama Area is due to be produced before the Pandaura Magistrate Court.

A Resident In Matara Drowned In Nilvala River After Jumping To It

Image result for drownedA resident of Mandakumbura in Matara District (In Southern Province) had  drowned in the Nilvala River after  jumping to it according to the Police.

The 67 year old drowned person has jumped to the Nilvala River from Hungamagoda Area due to a domestic conflict it has been reported.

Matara Police have launched a search operation to find the drowned person.

Residents In Few Areas at Anuradhapura District Are Facing Difficulties Due To Wild Elephant Attacks

Residents in Samagipura and Mahabulankulama areas in Anuradhapura District (In North Central Province) are facing difficulties at present due to the attacks by around 15 Wild Elephants it has been reported.

Due to the attacks by Wild Elephants early this morning  a house in one of the areas had been severely damaged  according to the Police.

Although there's a Electric Fence in the area the wild  elephants are entering villages by breaking the fence the residents have stated.
