Around 1% Out Of Total Number Of Annual Child Births In Sri Lanka Are Sufffering From "Autism"

Out of the 375,000 Child Births reported from Sri Lanka annually around 1% are reported as suffering from the Mental Condition "Autism"which developed from early childhood with behavioral problems according to Pediatricians.

Accordingly there are around 18.750 Children in Sri Lanka up to age of 5 years that suffering from "Autism"at present they have stressed.

Talented ones are there among st Children with "Autism"  and all they need is a big push from the society  to improve their talents according to Dr.Chitramali De Silvathe the Director of Mental Health attached to Ministry Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine.

Addressing a Media Seminar held at Health Education Bureau this morning regarding "International Day Of Autism" Dr Silva has stated to address the mental health disorders and Autism among st Children the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine has decided to establish Child Psychiatrist Clinic per district for the first time in local medical history.

GMOF Has Requested The Health Minister To Appoint A Committee To Investigate On Allegations Leveled Against Heads Of Independent Drug Authority

Image result for independent drug authorityThe Government Medical Officers Forum (GMOF)has Sunday (27) requested the Minister Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne to Appoint a committee to investigate regarding allegations leveled against the Heads of  Independent Drug Authority including bribery and corruption charges and giving priority to a blacklisted drug company during tender procedures.

The Committee should looking on how can the heads of Independent Drug Authority gave so much power to a retired female pharmacist within the authority including handling of confidential reports the GMOF has informed the Minister during a meeting held at Ministry of Health On Sunday.

Two Persons Were Killed Due To A Motor Bicycle-Lorry Collision Occurred At Chilaw-Colombo Road

Two Persons were killed last Sunday night due to a Motor Bicycle-Lorry collision occurred at Marawila-Godawela Roundabout on Chilaw -Colombo Road .

The Motor Bicycle had collided with a Lorry transporting Soft Drinks while entering the main road from a sub road according to the Police.

The two persons were succumbed to their injuries after admission to Marawila Base Hospital.The persons who were in Motor Bicycle have  identified as were under the influence of Alcohol at the time of the accident.

Marawila Police are conducting an investigations on the accident.

A Chinese National Has Died After Drowning In The Sea At Mirissa,Weligama Area

A Chinese National who went for a sea bath has died yesterday (28) by drowning in the sea of the sea coast of Udupila in Mirissa,Weligama Area(In Southern Province).

The deceased Chinese National had died after admission to the Matara General Hospital with critical condition it has been reported.

Weligama Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.
