Sri Lanka Navy Have Arrested 51 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis At Sea Coast Of Seelawathura
Sri Lanka Navy have arrested 51 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis believed to be brought from India at Sea Coast of Silawathura (In Northern Province)today(25).Navy have believed this haul of Kerala Cannabis have been brought from India through Fishing Boats.
No one has been arrested in this regard and the haul of Cannabis arrested was handed over to Seelawathura Police for further investigations.
Cabinet Has Approved A Cabinet Paper On Re Implementing Of "Gam Udawa" Housing Programme
The Cabinet has approved the re implementation of "Gam Udawa" Housing Programme which aims to provide houses for all low income groups throughout the country.The Programme which recognized by the United Nations was a concept of former Sri Lankan President late Ranasinghe Premasdasa and his son the Minister of Housing and Construction of the present Government.Minister Sajith Premadasa has submitted the cabinet paper to the Cabinet regarding re implementation of the Housing Programme it has been reported.
According to the Minister Sajith Premadasa under the "Gam Udawa" Housing programme Housing Projects will be implemented by covering all 25 districts of the country during next five years beginning from this year.
This year "Gam Udawa" Programme will be implemented in Kurunagala and Anuradhapura Districts the Minister has stated.The cultural functions scheduled to be conducted at Gam Udawa sites will be funded by private companies he has stressed.
US Naval War Ship"Blue Ridge' Is Due To Arrive Sri Lanka Tomorrow(26)
The "Blue Ridge" War Ship belonging to the US Navy is due to arrive at Colombo Harbor tomorrow(26) for a five day goodwill tour according to sources.The War Ship will carrying 900 US Navy Officers and it's aim is to improve the corporation between Sri Lanka and United States Of America the sources said.
This is the first time since 2011 that a War Ship belonging to US Navy arriving in Sri Lanka it has been reported.
