A Sri Lankan Youth Who Attempted To Fly To Canada From Another One's Passport Has Been Arrested

A Sri Lankan Youth who  attempted to fly to  Canada from a passport belonging to another person has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) Officers attached to Katunayake International Air Port today(18).

The 24 year old suspect has been identified as a resident in Urumpirai Area.The suspected youth is due to produce before Negambo Magistrate Court.

Presidential Commission Of Inquiry Decided To Conclude Accepting Complaints On Serious Fraud And Corruption By 24th Of March

Image result for presidential commission of inquiryThe Presidential Commission Of Inquiry To Investigate and Inquire to serious acts of fraud ,corruption,abuse of  state resources has decided to conclude accepting cases on serious fraud and corruption  by 24th of March.

The Secretary of the Commission H.W Gunadasa has requested the public to make complaints,petitions and provide information regarding serious fraud and corruption on or before 24th of March.

The Presidential Commission Of Inquiry has been appointed to investigate on mega type  fraud and ,corruption deals in state sector.

A Store At A Factory In Sapugaskanda Has Been Completely Destroyed Due To A Fire

 A Store attached to a Factory in Heyyanthuduwa,Sapugaskanda(In Western Province) has been completely destroyed due to a sudden fire occurred today(18) at the factory building according to the Police.

The Fire Brigade,Sapugaskanda Police Officers and residents of the area have jointly managed to douse the fire before spreading it further.

The cause behind the fire has been identified as a power leek.No casualties have been reported due to the fire and the damage occurred  has not yet been estimated.

Sapugaskanda Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

One Female Was Killed And Six Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Van-Cab Collision On A-9 Road

One female was killed and Six Persons got injured and hospitalized due to a Van-Cab collision occurred on A-9 Road in Kilinochchi Area(In Northern Province) today(18).

This accident  occurred when a  Van  travelling towards Jaffna  collided with a Cab parked at Road Side on A-9  Road according to the Police.Due to the accident Six Persons inside  the Van and the Driver of the Cab were injured and admitted to Kilinochchi Hospital where the critically injured 70 year old female succumbed to her injuries.

The Kilinochchi Police are conducting an inquiry on the accident.
