Special Commodity Levy Imposed On Imported Potatoes And Big Anions Have Been Increased
The Special Commodity Levy Imposed on imported Potatoes and Big Anions have been increased Rs.35 Per Kilo Gramme and Rs.25 Per Kilo Gramme respectively with effect from Midnight yesterday(29) according to Ministry Of Finance.
President Maithripala Sirisena has yesterday(29) instructed the Finance Ministry Officials to increase the Special Commodity Levy imposed on Potatoes and Big Anions in view of protecting local potato and big anion farmers after a special discussion held at Presidential Secretariat to discuss the issues faced by farmers.

President Has Removed The Secretary Of Presidential Commission Of Inquiry And Appointed A New Secretary
President Maithripala Sirisena has removed the Secretary of the Presidential Commission Of Inquiry to Investigate And Inquire Into Serious Acts Of Fraud ,Corruption And Abuse Of Power,State Resources And Privileges Lacille De Silva today(01) with immediate effect.
H.W.Gunadasa has been appointed as the new secretary of the Presidential Commission Of Inquiry with effect from today according to Presidential Secretariat.
Earlier in the day the Secretary to the President P.B Abeykoon has sent a letter to Commission Secretary Lacille De Silva on the decision of his removal from the post but not specify a particular reason behind the decision.

During The First Two Months Of This Year 9751 Dengue Patients Had Been Reported Throughout The Island
During the first two months in this year(2016) 9751 Dengue Patients had been reported throughout the island according to Sri Lanka Epidemiology Unit.
Accordingly 6517 Dengue Patients had been reported during January and 3234 Patients in February the Epidemiology Unit has said.
The majority of the Dengue Patients reported during last two months around 51.12% are residents of Western Province according to the Statistics available.
