One Of The Three Helium Filled Balloons Belonging To Google Project Had Fallen Down In Pupurassa Area
One of the three Helium Filled Balloons belonging to the Internet Giant Google's Leon Free Hi Speed Internet Project which entered Sri Lankan Air Space on Monday had fallen down in Pupurassa Area of Gampola District(In Central Province) last night according to the Police.
Residents of the Pupurassa Area where the Balloon fell down have handed over the balloon with it's gadgets to the Gampola Police last night.
The internet giant Google has struggled to find the right balloon design both could be durable and inexpensive to float and navigate to travel through the stratosphere local experts who are involved with the project have said.

Exise Department Officials Have Arrested Three Persons With Over 800 Bottles Of Illegally Imported Liquor At Narahenpita
The Excise Department Officials have arrested Three Persons with a stock of over 800 Bottles of illegally imported Foreign Liquor in their residence at Narahenpita(In Colombo) during a raid carried out today(18).
The arrested stock of illegally imported Foreign Liquor including expensive brands of Whisky is estimated as worth around Rs.6 Million according Excise Department.

Germany To Provide A Grant Of 14 Million Euros For Sri Lanka
The German Government intends to grant 14 Million Euros for Sri Lanka as the technical corporation for continuing the ongoing progerammes and projects in 2016 it has been announced yesterday (17)during the Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena's tour to Germany .
Under this grant 2.4 Million Euros will be provided for the development of small and medium scale enterprises in Sri Lanka ,4 Million Euros for utilizing vocational taring project in North and East ,6 Million Euros for assist the national park and buffer zones management in Wilpattu and another 0.6 Million Euros will be provided for initiatives of government and non governmental sectors.
German Government has decided to provide another 1 Million Euros for Sri Lanka as a Special Project Grant .
Meanwhile several Memorandums Of Understanding(MOU) have been signed between Governments of Sri Lanka and Germany in Berlin yesterday.

Health Minister Has Banned The Utilizing Of World Bank Grant Provided For Combating Non Communicable Diseases In Sri Lanka For Foreign Tours And Parties
The Minister Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has strictly banned the Health Ministry Officials for utilizing a portion of 200 Million US Dollar grant provided by the World Bank to combat non communicable diseases in Sri Lanka for foreign tours and parties.
The Minister has personally instructed the Health Ministry Officials to utilize the World Bank Grant only for programmes designed to combat non communicable diseases in the country the Health Ministry Sources have said.
The World Bank has this year provided a grant of 200 Million US Dollars to Sri Lanka for combating the non communicable diseases in the country which are on the increase.
