Around 33 School Children At Sevanagala MOH Area Have Been Hospitalized Due To A Drug Poisioning
Around 33 Children residing in Sevanagala Area(In Monaragala District) have been admitted to the Sevanagala Hospital today(04) due to a drug poisoning.
The hospitalized children had received Vitamin C and Iron Tablets from the Sevanagala MOH(Medical Officer Of Health) Office yesterday(03)and after taken those they fell sick according to the sources.
These children had fell sick due to the consuming of Vitamin C and Iron Tablets with an empty stomach a doctor attached to the Sevanagala MOH Office has said.A group of Children studying at Sevanagala ,Koulara Collage have faced this incident.

The Key Respondent Of Misappropriation Of Rs.26 Billion Worth Public Investments At Golden Key Company Cecille Kothalawala Has Been Arrested
Cecille Kothalawala the wife of the former Sri Lankan Business Tycoon Lalith Kothalawala ,whom International Police (Interpol) had issued warrants and red notices to arrest has been arrested by Sri Lankan Immigration Officials this evening after returned to the Country from Oversees .
After the arrest Cecille Kothalawala has been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) according to Immigration Officials.
Cecille Kotahalawala and her husband Lalith Kothalawala are among the nine suspects named as respondents of .the case related to misappropriation of Rs.26 billion worth public investments at failed Golden Key Credit Company which affiliated Ceylinco Group Of Companies in Sri Lanka.
Before named as one of the respondents of the misappropriation of Golden Key funds Cecille Kothalawala has fled from the country to Singapore and after the court here and Interpol have issued warrants and red notices to arrest her she has evaded courts and fled to many countries during past few years.
Earlier Cecille Kotahalawala's husband Lalith Kothalawala has been arrested and remanded over the misappropriation of public investments at Golden Key Credit Company.

Cancer Patients In Local Society Are On The Increase -National Cancer Control Programme
The Cancer Patients in Sri Lankan Society are increasing rapidly according to National Cancer Control Programme.
According to the latest statistics 25% of the female cancer patients identified annually in Sri Lanka are suffering from Breast Cancer.Besides Breast Cancer other cancers like Oral,Lung and Cervical Cancers in the local society are on the increase the Cancer Control Programme said.
In the year 2009 alone 15,888 Cancer Patients have been identified in Sri Lanka Oncologists have revealed.
"One Third of the all Cancer Patients in the society can be cured through a healthy life style and medication " the Oncologists have stressed.
These facts have been revealed during a Media Seminar held yesterday(03) at Health Education Bureau in Colombo to mark World Cancer Day which falls today(04).
