Joint Opposition Group In Parliament To Boycott All State Functions
The Joint Opposition Group in the Parliament which supports former President Mahinda Rajapakshe has decided to boycott all state functions including the forthcoming National Independence Day Celebrations as a protest against the arrest of former President's Son Yoshitha Rajapaksha according to member of the Opposition Group MP Dinesh Gunawardena.
MP Gunawardena has today accused that the government is trying to dismantle the political activities of opposition by creating political prisoners .

Sri Lanka Air Port Customs Officers Have Arrested Two Persons Who Attempted To Smuggle Foreign Currency Notes Out Of The Country
Sri Lanka Airport Customs Officers have arrested two Sri Lankans including a female who had been attempted to smuggle Foreign Currency Notes comprising 80,800 US Dollars and 6000 Swiss Francs out of the country at Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Air Port early this morning.
The two suspects have been arrested when they had attempted to board a Sri Lankan Air Lines Flight UL-402 which flying to Bangkok,Thailand around 1.40 a.m this morning.
The Foreign Currency Notes the suspects attempted to smuggle out of the country were concealed inside their luggage according to Customs Officers.
The Air Port Customs have launched an investigation on the incident.

The arrest warrant and red notice issued against the former senior leader and International Financial Head of LTTE ,Emil Kanthan have been removed by the Special High Court in Colombo today(01) .
