South African Graham Ford Has Been Appointed As The New Cricket Coach Of Sri Lankan National Cricket Team
Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed the South African born Cricket Coach Graham Ford as the new Coach of Sri Lankan National Cricket Team for a 45 month Period with effect from 01st of February.
The 55 year old Ford has coached Sri Lankan Cricket Team during 2012-2014 period before taking up coaching position of Surrey County in England.
As Sri Lankan National Cricket Team performed poorly during recent series of matches against other countries under local cricket coaches, Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to getting the service of a foreign coach for the team.
Graham Ford has guided the Surrey County to emerged as the country championship second division title.

Air Port Customs Officers Have Arrested A Man Who Attempted To Smuggle 32 Kilo Grammes Of Wallapatta Out Of The Country
The Air Port Customs Officers have yesterday(29) morning arrested a man who attempted to smuggle around 32 Kilo Grammes of expensive Wallapatta (Agarwood)out of the country at Katunayake,Bandaraniake International Air Port.
Air Port Customs Officers have arrested the 38 year old suspect who is a resident of Badalagama Area while he attempted to board a flight to Dubai around 2.55 a.m yesterday morning with a stock of expensive Wallapatta which are use to manufacture an expensive perfumes in his possession.
The Stock of Wallapatta carried by the suspect is worth around Rs.9.6 Million according to Customs Officers.

Two Trains Escaped From A Head To Head Collision At Ginthota Railway Track After Drivers Managed To Stop The Trains With A Narrow Gap Between Them
Two Trains have narrowly escaped from a head to head collision this afternoon at Coastal Rail Way line in Ginthota (Southern Province) while travelling on the same rail track after the drivers of both trains have managed to prevent a possible train disaster at the last minute.
A Train travelling from Kandy(In Central Province) to Matara (In Southern Province) and the "Rajarata Rajina"Train travelling from Matara to Vavuniya(In Northern Province) were on the same rail track when they came near the Ginthota Railway Station according to the Railway Control Room.
Although both Trains were scheduled to be diverted to different Rail Tracks ,The Matara Bound Train has moved forward ignoring the signal lights Railway Control Room has said.
Due to this situation both the trains came face to face near the Bridge close to Ginthota Railway Station and the drivers of both trains finally managed to stopped the Trains within a gap of around 10 meters between them.
Railway Control Room has launched a special investigation on the incident.
