Government Has Released Fifty Five Out Of The One Hundred Four Detained Indian Fishermen Scheduled To Release
Sri Lankan Government has taken steps to release 55 out of the 104 detained Indian Fishermen which the government has decided to release as a goodwill gesture to mark Hindu Festival "Thaipongal".
The remaining detained Indian Fishermen will be released after been produced them before courts in Trincomalee and Mannar on 18th of January the Government has said.
These Indian Fishermen have been detained by Sri Lankan Navy while illegally fishing in Sri Lankan Waters .

No Shortage Of Drugs In Government Hospitals-Ministry Of Health
There's no shortage of drugs in government hospitals at present according to the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine .
A sufficient stocks of Drugs have been supplied to the few government hospitals which faced drug shortage recently the Ministry has said.
According to the Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne there's a delay of supplying imported drugs to the government hospitals and a problem occurred during procurement process has caused this situation.Steps will be taken to solve that problem too Minister has stressed.

An eighty year old Swedish Female has drowned in the Sea off the coast of Marakolliya in Tangalle(In Southern Province) while bathing according to Police.
The Swedish Female who stayed at a Holiday Resort in Marakolliya Area has drowned in the sea after getting caught to the rough sea waves the Police have said.
The body of the victim had been taken to the Hambnanthota Hospital for post mortum.
