A Teanager Has Committed Suicide By Jumping From A Three Storey Building At Monaragala
A 18 year old youth has committed suicide early this morning by jumping from a three storey building near the Monaragala Magistrate Court according to the Police.
The youth had committed suicide after his parents had strongly warned him last night after he returned home under the liquor influence the Police have said.
After the youth has jumped off the three storey building he was rushed to the monaragala base hospital in critical condition and he has succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital this morning.

Storing Complex In Mount Lavinia Has Been Completely Destroyed Due To A Sudden Fire
A Storing Complex of a Housing Construction Company situated at Saint Mary's Road ,Mount Lavinia has been completely destroyed due to a sudden fire broke out at the complex last night according to the Police.
The fire at the storing complex had broke out around 8 p.m last night and value of the loss has not been estimated yet Police have said.
The cause behind the fire too has still not yet been identified.Mount Lavinia Police are conducting investigations on the incident.

Sri Lanka Customs Have Detained And Confiscated Gold Worth Over Rs.300 Million During Last Year
Sri Lanka Customs have said stocks of Gold worth over Rs.300 million which attempted to smuggle abroad and illegally brought to the Country have been detained and confiscated during last year(2015).
Gold Slabs and Chains were among the confiscated stocks of Gold and the total value of them had estimated as over Rs.300 million the Customs have said.
