Nuclear Energy Regulatory Commission To Punish Those Who Are Violating The Radiation Act
The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Commission has decided to punish those who are violating the Radiation Act with effect from 01st of January.
The commission has decided to issue a licence for those who are working at the fields related to radiation in view of building Radiation Free Sri Lanka according to the sources.
Those persons or institutions that acted by violating Radiation Act will be punished through courts or by abolishing their licences the Commission has said.

Five persons including a small child have been killed this morning due to a Bus-Van Collision occurred at Colombo-Kandy Main Road according to Police.
Dozens of Passengers have been injured due to the accident and admitted to the Warakapola Hospital Police have said.

Next Local Government Body Election To Be Held On Mid June Next Year
The next Local Government Bodies Election is due to be held on Mid June next year under the new mixed electoral system according to the Minister of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.
Elections will be held for 335 local government bodies including 271 Pradeshiya Sabha's,41 Urban Councils,and 23 Municipal Councils the Minister has said during the weekly Cabinet Briefing held yesterday(29).
The official term of the local government bodies is due to end on next March and it has been extended until 15th of May by government due to the prevailing political situation of the country.
