Railways Department To Ban Begging Inside Trains With Effect From 01st Of November
The Railways Department has decided to Ban Begging inside the Trains with effect from 01st of November per the instructions of Transport Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva.
The decision to ban Begging inside Trains has been taken after considering the difficulties faced by Commuters due to fake beggars.
The Railway Department Officials will take tough actions if the Begging People continue to engage in begging inside trains without considering the ban and those individuals will be handed over to Police according to Railways Commercial Superintendent Wijaya Samarasinghe.

The three high rank Customs Officials arrested yesterday(15) by Bribery Commission Officers while accepting a Rs.125 Million as a bribe from Foreign Company Representatives have been today (16)remanded until 30th of October by Colombo Chief Magistrate.

Police Have Taken An Evidence From Negambo JMO Regarding The Complaint Made By Two Suspects Of Seya Sadewmini's Murder
The Police have today (15)taken an evidence from Judicial Medical Officer attach to Negambo Base Hospital regarding the complaint made by first two suspects arrested over five year old Seya Sadewmini's rape and murder case .
The two complainants including a 17 year old school boy were arrested over the case and released later after their DNA Samples did not match the DNA Samples taken from Seya's Body.
The inquiry regarding the complaint made by first two suspects arrested over the Seya's Murder has been conducted by a Police Team lead by Assistant Superintendent Of Police in Gampaha Police Chandana Kodithuwakku.
After the conclusion of inquiry the inquiry report is scheduled to be handed over to Deputy Inspector General Of Police in Western Province Pujitha Jayasundera.
