The Railways Department has decided to Ban Begging inside the Trains with effect from 01st of November per the instructions of Transport Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva.The decision to ban Begging inside Trains has been taken after considering the difficulties faced by Commuters due to fake beggars.
The Railway Department Officials will take tough actions if the Begging People continue to engage in begging inside trains without considering the ban and those individuals will be handed over to Police according to Railways Commercial Superintendent Wijaya Samarasinghe.
