Police Arrested Two Persons With 163 Narcotic Tablets

Image result for narcotic drugsThe Police have yesterday (10) night arrested two persons along with 163 Narcotic Tablets in their possession  at Maligawatta (In Colombo District) Area.

Police have also recovered around Rs.17,000 in  possession of the suspects who have identified as involved in Narcotic Trade.

Police have arrested the two Maligawatte Residents per a tip .received by them.

Former Chief Minister Of Eastern Province and Ex lTTE Cadre Pillayan Has Been Arrested

Image result for pillayanThe former Chief Minister Of Eastern Province and Ex LTTE Cadre Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan has been arrested by Criminal  Investigation Department CID  this evening regarding the Murder of former Tamil National Alliance MP Joseph Pararajasingham who was shot dead on Christmas Eve in 2005.

Earlier CID Officers had visited the  residence of former chief minister Pillayan yesterday(10)night  to record a statement from him  regarding the murder of former MP Pararajasingham.However at that time he was not at home and he was notified by the CID to appear before CID Headquarters at 5 p.m this evening.

After the arrival of former chief minister of Eastern Province to CID Headquarters he has been arrested.

Former Tamil National Alliance MP Pararajasingham was shot dead by an unidentified gunmen at Saint Mary's Church in Batticloe.

Sri Lankan Navy Had Arrested 19 Indian Fishermen Who Were Ileagaly Fishing In Sri Lankan Waters







 Sri Lankan Navy had yesterday(10) arrested 19 Indian Fishermen who were illegally fishing in Northern Sri Lankan Waters off point Pedro along with two boats they had been travelling in.

Sri Lankan Coastal Guard had supported the Navy to Arrest the group of indian fishermen who arrived from Nagapatnam in Tamil Nadu.

The arrested fishermen and two boats are due to be handed over to the Kankasanthurai
Authorities.
