Avoid Using Colombo-Awissawella Low Level Road -Police

Police have advised the motorists to avoid using Colombo-Awissawella low level road these days as the road has collapsed near Bomiriya Collage due to a burst pipeline.

Motorists should use alternative routes to avoid Colombo-Aissawella low level road police have said.

Maskeliya Police Have Arrested A Male School Teacher Who Attempted To Sexually Molest Four Girl Students

Maskeliya Police have this evening (28)arrested a male school teacher who attempted to sexually  molest four  girl students studying at grade 10 in an Estate School in Maskeliya.

Police have arrested the teacher after the parents of four girls studying at an estate school in  Maskeliya had complained to the police the said teacher had molested the girls while he  was conducting a tuition class at his house.

The suspected teacher has been identified as a married person from  Norwood Area(Up Country) and he is due to be produced before Hatton Magistrate tomorrow(29).

Meanwhile the four girl students who  were subjected to molestation are due to be referred to
 Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) attach to Dikoya Base Hospital for a medical examination.

Two Suspects Of Kotadeniyawa Girls's Murder Have Been Remanded Further

The two suspects including the  17 year old school boy who were arrested earlier regarding the murder of five year old seya sadewmini of kotadeniyawa area have been today (28)remanded further until 02nd of October by Minuwangoda Magistrate.

Earlier the main suspect  of the girl's murder who was arrested from a forst area in Gamapaha has been remanded untill 05th of october by the same Magistrate.

The five year old seya sadewmini was sexually molested and strangled to death near her house in kotadeniyawa two and half weeks ago.
