SINHALESE QUOTE FROM THE WEB

Magisterial Inquiry Regarding Floating Armory Case Has Been Terminated

The Magisterial Inquiry regarding the floating armory case  of Avant Guarde Maritime Services Private Limited has been terminated after the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) has informed the court that it will not proceed the case under the advise of Attorney General.

Last Week the Galle Magistrate Court has lifted the foreign travel ban imposed on former defense secretary Gotabaya Rajapakshe over the floating armory case.

Early this year the police have seized more than 3000 weapons in 20 containers through the armory run by Avant Guarde Maritime Services Private Limited and docked in Galle Harbor.
