Government Appealed To The People To Hoist National Flag Tomorrow

Sri Lankan Cabinet Spokesman and Media Minister Lakshman Yapa Abewardene to day Appealed to the People to hoist the Sri Lankan National "Lions" Flag in their Homes and in Work Places to honor the Sri Lankan Armed Forces who are nearing to defeat Terrorism in the Country.

Government is confident that the remaining Small Piece of land held by the rebels will liberate by tomorrow.

Meanwhile President Mahinda Rajapaksha who is in Tour to Jordan is due to cut his trip short and returned to the Country by Tomorrow.He stressed during his speech at the G-11 Summit that he will be return to a Country which is completely eliminated terrorism.

Sri Lankan Navy Captured Entire Sea Area Hold By The LTTE


Sri Lankan Navy captured the Entire Sea area in the Northern Sri Lanka today hold by the LTTE Rebels in past 25 years Security Sources said.

Meanwhile the Troops belongs to the 58th and 59th Divisions of the Sri Lankan Army who are surrounded the rebel held area have linked up with either side of the No War Zone this morning.

According to the Defence Officials LTTE is now restricted to a less then 2 Square Kilo Meter Area.More then 9000 trapped covilians retuened to the Govrnment Control Area yesterday and 5000 today Officials Added.

Captured Family members Of The Sea Tiger Leader Carried Large Amount Of Currency and Gold With Them



captured Family Members of the Sea Tiger Leader of LTTE Soosai, carried a large Amount of Currency worth Six Hundred Thousand Sri Lankan Rupees and Two Kilo Grammes of Gold in the Boat which they used to escape" Sri Lankan Navy Sources said.

Soosai's wife Sathyadevi,their Seventeen Year old Daughter 'Sixteen Year old Son,Sister In Law and her Children were captured today while they were trying to Escape througth the Sea via Boat today .

Family Members Of The Sea Tiger Leader Soosai Captured While Attempting To Escape From A Boat

Around Five Family Members of Sea Tiger Leader of the LTTE Soosai including his Wife and Two Children were captured by the Sri Lankan Navy this evening while they were attempted to escape from a Boat in the Northern Seas of No War Zone in Sri Lanka.

"Sea Tiger Leader's Wife,Daughter,Son,Sister In Law and her Son were arrested by the Navy and brought to the Pulmudai Area "Sri Lankan Navy Sources said.

Sea Tiger Leader Soosei is among the Three Key LTTE Leaders who are remaining in the Rebel Held small coastal area at present.

Sounds Of Big Explosions Heard From The No War Zone


Sounds of Big Explosions heard from the No War Zone in Northern Sri Lanka since last evening where the remaining LTTE Rebels and trapped Civilians are locating Security Sources said.


Now the Rebels are restricted to 1 Kilo Meter by 200 Meter area in the No War Zone and remaining rebel leaders including their chief Prabhakaren are using 100to 120 Member suicide Squad to prevent the escaping of the trapped civilians there.LTTE is planted the explosive Substance White Phosphorus along with Bombs around the place where the civilians are staying aiming a large Massacre on running civilians according to the Security Forces.


Rebels may have try to put the blame on such a Massacre in the hands of the Sri Lankan Ground Forces Sources further added.


Meanwhile Three Female Suicide Bombers who are belongs to the Suicide Cadre in the area were surrendered to the Army yesterday.It has been revealed that they have No Food to eat from three days.

All Medical Officers Of Health Stop Dengue Activities Citing System Lapses


All Medical Officers Of Health(MOH) throughout Sri Lanka are stop attending the Essential Dengue Control Activities of House to House Inspection on Mosquito Breeding Places and Special Investigations on Dengue Patients from Last Tuesday due to the lapses in Mosquito Control Programme Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) of Sri Lanka Announced today.

Due to this action the activities of Dengue Mosquito Control Programme is going to collapse Medical Sources said.All Dengue Control Activities are performed under the supervision of MOH'S.However conducting Awareness Programmes for people on Dengue will continue Association said.

Explaining on the situation the Assistant Secretery of the GMOA Dr Upul Gunasekera said that the Ministry Of Health is not taking steps to educate Health Staff including MOH'S on the Regulations of the newly approved Mosquito Control Act and due to this MOH'S are facing difficulties to carried out their duties of controlling Dengue.

MOH of the Colombo Suburbs faced Severe Threats from a Politician in the area recently when he tried to inspect the Garden of the Above Politician to check whether there are Mosquito Breeding Places Dr.Gunasekera stressed.Dengue is on rise in Sri Lanka this year as around 8000 Dengue Patients and 63 Deaths were reported upto now.
