The Military Wing Of The LTTE Breakaway Faction Dissolved

Soon after handingover their Weapons to the Armed Forces Leader of the LTTE breakeaway faction TMVP and Chief Minister of the Eastern Provincial Council in Sri Lanka Pillayan announced the dissolvement of the Party's Military Wing.

TMVP Military Wing handover around 150 Weapons and 7000 Rounds of Ammunitions to the Eastern Commander Brigadier Sampath Fernando this Evening at a Ceremony held in Webber Stadium in the Batticloe District.Most of the TMVP Cadres who were handover their Weapons will joined the Army and the rest will be given Self Employment opportunities Chief Minister Pillayan said during the function.

Main Opposition UNP and several Foreign Ambassadors here urged the Government to disarmed the Armed Groups citing the TMVP which was carrying Arms due to the threats of LTTE.TMVP Leader Pillayan said during the ceremony today as Sri Lankan Forces now defeated the LTTE no need to keep their Weapons further.

Eight Hundrad Fourty IDP'S Suffering From Chickenpox Receiving Treatment


Up to now Eight Hundrad Fourty Chickenpox Patients were identified among the IDP'S returned from LTTE held area and sends to Puwarasakulam District Hospital in the North for Treatment Ministry Of Health in Colombo announced today. According to the Ministry the spreading of the Disease further in the Camps is reduced due to the Immediate measures taken to separated these Patients from other IDP'S .


Meanwhile the Health Ministry today rejected the story published in "Tamil Net" Web stating thirteen diarrhea patients were died in the IDP Camps and added that except Chickenpox no other Epidemic Infection has been reported from the IDP Camps so far.


Ministry has already sent a Group of Virologists attached to the Medical Research Institute in Colombo and Drugs to prevent any outbreak of an Epidemic within the IDP Camps.


India To Send Fully Equipped Mobile Hospital For IDP'S In Sri Lanka


Indian Government is to send A Fifty Bed Strength Fully Equipped Mobile Hospital to Sri Lanka this evening for the use of Treating the IDP'S in the North.This Mobile Hospital which is Equipped with Medical Staff including Doctors,Nurses and Profesionalss Supplementary to Medicine(PSM) and the Modern Equipments is to transport to Pulmudai area in the North where it is going to be located from Monday.

Meanwhile Ministry Of Health today turned the Two Buildings belongs to the Sea Sand Cooperation of Pulmudai Area and the Government Cooperation at Padaviya to Hospitals for treating the IDP'S.

Sri Lankan Health Ministry To Set Up 1,000-Bed Field Hospital for IDP'S


Health Ministry in Colombo today decided to setup a Field Hospital with One Thousand Bed Capacity in Vavuniya District of Northern Sri Lanka and send Eight Hundrad Beds to the North and Eastern Provincial Hospitals in the View to Improve the Health Care Facilities Provided to the Internal Displaced Persons (IDP'S)there.

To collect Eight Hundrad Beds for the North and East Hospitals Ministry is planning to get One Hundrad Extra Beds per Hospitals from the each Provincial Council .These Decisions were taken during a top level meeting of the Health Officials held today at the Ministry Premises.At this meeting it was also decided to developed four Provincial Hospitals in the North by taking their Administration under the Government .


Sri Lankan Business Tycoon Charged For Misusing Of Funds Re Applied For Bail


Sri Lankan Business Tycoon Lalith Kotalawala who was remanded by the Mount Lavinea Magistrate last friday on misusing of Rs.26 Billion worth Public Deposits re apply for Bail today through his Lawyers at the Colombo High Court.His Bail Application was taken to Notice by the Attorney General and Officer in Charge in Colombo Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigations Department(CID).

He is currently in the Merchant Ward of the Colombo General Hospital on Poor Health Grounds.

Kotalawala was remanded till 11th of March for Misusing the Deposits of the Golden Key Credit Company in Colombo owned by him.Meanwhile the Depositors of the Golden Key Credit Company to day hold a protest campaign in front of the Company Building at Colombo Suburbs against not settling their Deposits.

Sri Lankan Government To Open Two Safety Routes For IDP'S To Escape


Government Of Sri Lanka planning to open Two Safety Routes in the War Zone for Tens of Thousands of Civilians who are trapped in the LTTE held area to return to the Government held areas. Govenment today asked the assistance from International Red Cross to make it a success.

So far Thirty Seven Thousand Two Hundrad IDP'S were returned to the Govenment held areas through the Safety Routes opened by the Troops previousley in the War Zone.

Now the LTTE held Area is restricted to 45 Square Kilo Meter (17 Square Kilo Meters) Land by the Sri Lankan Troops.Troops continues Heavy fighting with the rebels in the final rebel held area of Puthukkuduyirippu in the North.

Two Ten Feet High Rocket Shaped Aerial Bombs Wrere found From LTTE Camps


LTTE Rebels who are fighting for a separate state in this small country for over three decades again proved that they are the only Terrorist Organization in the world equipped with Modern Amunitions and Technology after Sri Lankan ground troops to day recovered Two 10 feet high Aerial Bombs and a Model Air Craft made by them.

The two bombs weighing 2100 Kilo Grammes with separate launchers were recovered from the Udayarkattu Village in the Mulativue District.According to the Army Officials a one bomb can carry 200 Kilo Grammes of C-4 Explosives and could go as high as 300 Meters.
Army said that the two Rocket Shaped Bombs can do massive damage like flattening the over crowded area of Pettah in the Colombo District if they are Dropped there.With this latest finding it is now proved that the LTTE is having the latest Missile Technology of their own.Sri Lankan Army also recovered a large number of Amunitions.
