Sixty Passangers Were Injured ,Twenty Of Them Critically Due To A Private Bus Collision

Sixty passengers have been injured,  twenty of them critically and hospitalized after two Private Buses owned by the same owner colliding each other at Pnliyadda-Malsiripura area on Dambulla-Kurunagala main road this noon(09).

The injured were admitted to Galewela,Gokarella,Kurunagala and Dambulla Hospitals for treatment.Two drivers of the buses and A Buddhist monk and a female Buddhist nun  were among those hospitalized due to the incident.

The critically injured persons were transferred to the Kurunagala Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

The injured have been suffered serious injuries to their faces and some of them lost their arms it has been revealed.Many seats belongs to both buses were broken due to the incident.

The accident occurred when one Private Bus traveling from Embilipitiya to Jaffna attempted to overtake another Private Bus traveling from Vavuniya to Embilipitiya.

Due to the accident a heavy traffic was reported in Dambulla-Kurunagala main road for sometime it has been revealed.

The Traffic Unit of the Gokarella Police are investigating over the incident.

A Female Was Killed Due To An Accident In Southern Expressway

Image result for southern expressway\A female was killed after the luxurious Jeep she was traveling in colliding with the retention wall of the Southern Expressway near the 70th Kilo Meter post between Kurundugahahathapma and Baddegama areas this afternoon(09).

The Jeep which was severely damaged as a result of the accident was traveling Galle to Colombo when met with the accident.

A sudden fire erupted in Muthurajawela reserve between

Pubudugama and Nadurupitiya on last Saturday evening(07) had been destroyed a large acres of land belongs to the reserve it has been reported.

The fire had spreads near the Colombo-Katunayake Express Highway and it was doused by the fire brigade on Saturday night.

Police believes a person or a group of persons may have lit the fire.
