Railway Station Masters Union had decided to launch a week long Strike if the Authorities are not taking any action to remove the corrupted official appointed as the Deputy General Manager(Commercial) of the Sri lanka railways from the post .
If the talks scheduled to be held next tuesday (16) between the Station Masters Union officials and the Transport Minister on the above appointment fails ,station masters union will launch a week long strike the Union had announced.
Station Masters attached to the Sri Lanka Railways had launched one day token strike from Tuesday midnight to Wednesday midnight over the appointment issue caused the cancellation of 22 train journeys including 10 office trains.
