Wellawa Police(North Western Provonce ) had arrested an Audit officer in Sinharaja area at Kumbukwewa over keeping in possession of 16 Rs.1000 local currency notes it has been reported.
Police had arrested the suspect after he was giving a fake Rs.1000 note to a trader at Wellawa area to purchase a good.The trader had complained to the Police as he had noticed that currency note was a fake one.
The Police had found 16 other Rs.1000 Curremcy notes stored in the house of Audit officer at Kumbukwewa area during a raid carried out there
