Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has assured the Supreme Court yesterday (02) that there will be no scheduled power cuts until the contempt of court petition filed by Human Rights commission before the court against violating the promise given by the Electricity Board regarding the non implementation of power cuts until the conclusion of the ongoing GCE Advanced Level examination .
The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has made the assurance to the court through it's lawyer President's counsel Uditha Egalahewa and stated that during the said period no power cuts will be implemented in the island .
The contempt of court petition filed by the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission against Electricity Board has been taken up for consideration at 11.30 a.m today (03).
