The Transportation of Vegetables from Outstation areas to Colombo Fort had begun yesterday (27)after a lapse of 23 years according to the All Ceylon Economic Centers Forum . five special carriages had been fixed to the Train allocated for this purpose the Forum has stated .
Accordingly an Intercity Train will transport vegetables from outstation areas to Super Markets and Maning Market in Colombo fort.This programme is being implemented according to a proposal submitted by President Ranil Wikramasinghe during presenting the Mini budget proposals to the parliament.
